Art Project: Berlin Blues
This is my second digital art project, with some images, words and music… About ten years ago I commuted to Berlin to manage a team there. I really fell in love with Berlin and I learned a lot there and I miss not being able to visit it. I’m getting better at the tools for doing the audio. I especially appreciate the auto-ducking feature that smoothly fades out the music to allow the spoken word track to come through.

This piece was inspired by my time working in Berlin ten years ago. Just based on how much I think about it and respond emotionally to the pictures, it had a big impact on me. I wanted to mash up the electronica vibe of Berlin with the blues to try to express the feeling of being an alien there but also weirdly feeling at home.
